Our lives are a series of moments.
We slowly piece each together, memory by memory, and we create a vibrant world.
And then one day, when the moments start merging into one another, we hear a little voice inside telling us to explore.
I’ve started listening to this voice. It’s telling me to do all the things I’ve wanted to do that scare me and not live thinking ‘what if’.
So what have I done to change this?
I’ve tried to apply this to all areas of my life, for example, one of the first things I did was start this blog. I’ve always wanted a blog but I never had the guts to start one and be able to maintain it.
I’ve also started accepting freelance work! This is a huge leap for me as people want me to help build their websites!
My best friends and I have been planning days out to cities we hardly know, or have never been to! We want to explore as much as we can!
These days out soon evolved into booking weekends away and then a girls holiday! Going away with friends is something I’ve never done before so I’m so excited for our holiday!
I’ve also been planning a lot of walks that I can go on and see more of the beautiful English countryside!
But I’ve also been busy exploring the caves at the coast!
We planned it perfectly so that we could visit the cave at low-tide and when we were in there, it was amazing to me that a couple of hours later the cave would be submerged underwater!
One of the caves we visited!
I’ve also signed up to a week-long camping trip and applied on a trip ballot and for me it’s not about being successful (ok that’s a lie… it kinda is…), but more about the fact I signed up and I am committed to it.
I’m also starting to get bitten by the travel-bug and so I’m starting to make a list of places I want to visit, and planning when I could visit, and for how long and to ensure I can see everything in that place that I want to see.
I’m not booking anything, but having more of an intention to go is very motivating.
These are just a few thing’s I’m doing to push myself out of my comfort zone.
In the word of Grace Hopper – A ship in port is safe, but that’s not what ships are built for.
Are you planning to go anywhere?
