January and February were extremely fast paced compared to this month!
March has been a personal evaluation month, where I’ve focussed mainly on my health and wellbeing, which I didn’t do enough of before.
Also two very exciting things happened this month!
Firstly, I booked a little holiday to London for later on in the year! I can’t wait to go!
And secondly, I GOT PROMOTED!!! 🙌🏻🎉
I’m officially no longer an associate developer, but a mid-level developer! I am absolutely over the moon with this and can’t wait to see where I go from this!
Health and Wellbeing 💪🏻
Last month I noticed that I had a lot of areas to improve on in regards to my self-care, as when writing February‘s monthly review I noticed how much my routine had slipped. Since then I’ve been trying my hardest to get back into a routine and stick to it, and also try add new things into it! These include:
- spa days
- daily meditation
- daily sleep stories
- improved attendance at the gym
Trying to add these into my daily routine (minus the spa one) pushes me to try hit my daily health targets and I’m really starting to feel the benefits of a routine!
Code First: Girls 👩🏻💻
My first semester as an instructor finished this month and I absolutely loved it, when CFG first got in contact with me around this time last year to announce I’d made their Ones to Watch 2017 list, I never envisioned how that company would become such a large part of my life.
Teaching coding is so rewarding and I’m so hyped for the next course!
I wrote a blog post on my experience too!
New title, new clothes 👗
That’s how the saying goes right? 😉
OK, so I will use any excuse to shop, but this one I thought was actually a sufficient one!
At my work we can choose to either way causal or smart clothes, and I am definitely deep in the casual clothes remit, but due to this I’m starting to think my work and home wardrobe are starting to look the same.
Which means it’s time for a refresh! 🙌🏻
So I did one of my first ever ASOS shops and decided to banish jeans from work and wear pretty skirts and dresses from now on – let’s get a bit more girly Clare shall we?!
Also while shopping I came across the best quality t-shirts ever – and you’ll never guess where from ladies!
You can’t go wrong with the prices either! Around £6.50 per top is a bargain for the quality and durability!
So as you can guess from this post nothing much has really happened in my life this month, but that’s mainly because of the snow and that I’ve been so busy at work and trying to learn new technologies!
I hope you’ve all had a great month! ❤️
Leaving the month with my current favourite quote, as it ties in perfectly with the promotion!
