Monthly Reviews

May Review

This past month has been such a rollercoaster and it hardly feels like I’ve had a moment to spare at home!
Remember when I said I had an aim to travel more this year? Well I’ve been to three different cities this month! 👊🏻

🌍 Places I’ve been this month include:

  • Birmingham
  • London
  • Manchester

🌟 Main highlights this month:

  • Gymshark Pop-Up
  • Day at the Races
  • Long weekend in London (blog post coming soon… 📝)
  • Ed Sheeran Concert
  • My parents 25th Wedding Anniversary

👏🏻 Things I’ve learnt:

  • If you need time out of something, then take it.
  • It’s fun to go adventuring, especially with those you love.
  • Planning surprises takes time, money and patience, but it will be all worth it in the end.
  • I love tea more than I originally thought… especially if it is from Whittard’s! 😍
  • If you want something to succeed, you’ve got to work hard 💪🏻

A Day At York Races 🐎

One of our most recent project’s at work was to entirely rebuild part of our estate. From development project kick off to putting it live to 100% of customers it took about 10 months (6 months fully dedicated time, 4 months for small change).
To celebrate our hard work and success, we were lucky enough to be treated to a day at York Racecourse for the Dante Festival.

It was the first time I’d ever been to the races and I think I can speak for everyone when I say we had such an amazing time.
There were 7 races been held that day, and I betted on 4 or 5 of them – hey the best way to enjoy it is to be fully involved right?!

It was so much fun to see everyone getting so involved in each race and getting drunk off of bottles of prosecco!
The day definitely brought us all closer as a team and we’ve got some great memories from it!

Digital Help Day Out! (Missing a few faces however!)

Ed Sheeran Concert 🎤

If you know me in real life then you will know that Ed Sheeran is my all time favourite artist, so I felt so lucky when I managed to secure tickets to one of his Manchester concerts back in February.

Finally after months of waiting the time came to go to the concert and I was absolutely blown away with how brilliant it was.

It was literally just him on stage, by himself, with his guitar and he never stopped for a break.
Everyone at the concert was just having such a great time and were fully involved in audience participation – it was just an amazing atmosphere!!

Despite the tour being for his Divide album, he played the majority of his hits, which was brilliant – I don’t think I’ve ever been so close to loosing my voice at a concert as I was last weekend!

Two of my favourite songs that he has written are Thinking Out Loud and Perfect and when he played both I broke down in tears and I have zero shame about that!

I told myself that despite how much I love his music I would only attend one concert, but I might have to get tickets to his next tour too it was that good!!

Straight after this photo was taken I burst into tears!

25 Years Of Marriage ❤️

This month my parents hit 25 years of marriage together and to celebrate my brother and I planned a series of surprises for them, one of which was a cake.

We had it specially made by Yummy Creations and it turned out perfect. I had a very broad specification because I didn’t really know what I wanted, so I just told her some of their favourite things and she created this gorgeous cake.
Not only that but it tastes absolutely delicious, I’ve never tasted a cake as lovely and light as hers before, and the knife just went through it like it was butter!
We will definitely be using her again for occasions! 🎂

Quote Of The Month

I’m wanting to start a monthly quote series, and as May has been all about love I think it is only fitting to begin with my favourite quote from my all time favourite book.
